At Littlejohn Treats, we believe in creating memorable experiences with our
cakes, but safety is our top priority. Please refrain from smashing people's faces
into our cakes, as this can lead to injury, especially if the cake contains dowels or support structures. If you're interested in a smash cake for your event, kindly mention it on your order form, and we'll be happy to add it to your order.
Please ensure all inedible items, such as decorative pieces, are removed from the cake BEFORE consuming. It's important to exercise caution and refrain from consuming any non-edible cake decor. We strongly advise against eating decorations, and it's the customer's responsibility to remove them before cutting or serving the cake. This includes name tags, cake toppers, or any items placed on the cake. Please also take care to keep decor items out of reach of children and other guests
When picking up your cake or treats, we recommend carrying the boxes from the bottom to prevent dropping. Buttercream cakes require cool storage, so please ensure your car is adequately cooled before transportation. During transit, keep the cake on a flat, level surface in your vehicle's footwell, away from direct sunlight and loose objects. Avoid placing the cake on angled surfaces like laps or car seats, as this may cause sliding. Drive cautiously, avoiding sudden stops and sharp turns. Upon arrival at your destination, refrigerate your cake promptly to maintain freshness
Before serving, allow your cake to reach room temperature so the cake and buttercream can soften. Avoid direct sunlight and heat when the cake is not refrigerated. After cutting, store any remaining pieces in an airtight container to preserve freshness. We recommend consuming the cake as close to the delivery/pickup date as possible and advise consuming all food within 24 hours of the first serving. The responsibility for consumption lies with the customer once products have been picked up or delivered. If freezing the cake, ensure to thaw it in the refrigerator 24 hours before serving
Please note that Littlejohn Treats does not provide fresh flowers for cakes. If you plan to use fresh flowers, it's your responsibility to source them from a reputable florist. Fresh flowers are not food products and may contain dirt, pesticides, insects, or other contaminants. It's important for the customer to determine flower safety and suitability for use on cakes, as some flowers may not be suitable for consumption.
